Parov Stelar: THE PRINCESS

In March, the sold out e-Parov Stelar plant in Freiburg and several other venues in Europe rocked. No wonder - he is still a master of electro-swing. This sound he has significantly brought into the world clubs. So far the Vinlys were always made for DJs and clubs and the albums rather quiet - in the best Austrian tradition. This way Parov's works, this time with CD 1 Since there are quiet, jazzy and often epic, which could pass for a score. Highlights include "Milla's Dream," "You got me there", "Silent Shuffle" and the beautiful up-tempo soul number "Nobody's Fool". In addition, there's also the typical Parov swing in "All Night". Beautiful and varied. On Disc 2 there are 12 songs that have 2010-2012 already appeared on vinyl. These are aimed at significantly club. Almost every song works well on the floor. But it tired me already, because every song is more or less put in the same pattern. One the one hand say that Parov think of nothing more new. One can also say the other hand, he has perfected his sound crept. He probably knows the problem. Therefore, the solution with the double-CD is quite clever.

Great was the delight of the fans of Germany's most successful progressive rock band Eloy. In March, should the old men after 14 years break from touring, touring Germany again, even an appearance in the United States was on the program. Eddie Vedder also be starring in the Record Store Day

Next Record Store Day will bring many surprises. From Arctic Monkeys new singles or Minus The Bear curious releases related to one of our musical heroes: Eddie Vedder. Seattle singer will be starring on April 21 with the launch of a 7-inch disc that will feature live versions of 'Love Boat Captain' ("Riot Act") and "Wishlist" ("Yield"). Due to the limited nature of this 7 "is believed to versions of these two songs are completely new with respect to the previously released in previous releases, as at the" Live At The Garden "(DVD), which could already hear the interpretation at Madison Square Garden from the well known 'Wishlist'.

In turn, as a tribute, called country icon Willie Nelson released an EP which will included a version of 'Just Breathe', part of the latest "Backspacer" by Pearl Jam. It will be interesting to say the least able to enjoy a real clash developed between Nelson (past) and Vedder (present) of large musical references. A good view when Willie left us hear this appealing version.

MIDI FLASH - Pleased to beat you

MIDI FLASH is a very funny name, if one focuses on sampling. Well, either way - out comes the first release of the two-man band from Munich beat pretty good, especially music. Add To Basket globally-established tradition, as it is now used by Shuko, JR & PH7 and the Snowgoons and more familiar, have simply MIDI FLASH times internationally collected from fairly fresh MCs texts and packed on their beats. Among the participants are Denmarks Finest J-Spliff (Majors), the Swiss rap veteran Black Tiger, Munich Private Roger Rekless, the constant high quality insane Morlokk dilemma, antiheroes, RUFFKIDD (with a really good part) and M-Dot (Boston).
Production wise
you realize the two beat and hobbyists Robstar LowDown some Premo and general Golden Era-affinity, however, the whole raised on a correctly-to-date level. In the center of the plate is love for culture and the Zulu concept of one free download, to which all corners of the hip-hop universe are brought together prime examples of this, especially the scale as a history lesson "Hip Hop" and "Transatlantic Artivism ": the latter is a graffiti tribute that combines four MCs from four countries on an absolute About Board of Beat, garnished with dope cuts by DJ LP2 in the hook. Just that LP2 is also responsible for the overall mix of the tape - and the Copenhagen pretty much know how you have to do something! "Pleased to beat you" is overall a really round entry of MIDI FLASH and I am running for weeks on heavy rotation - the two guys I'll definitely keep an eye on!

And The Shins also passed by Saturday Night Live

We are seriously considering opening a Binaural section that is dedicated solely and exclusively to the actions of Saturday Night Live. This is incredible: each passing week, every week we are forced to talk about a performance by a renowned artist. If we talk about the old shows Lana Del Rey, Jack White, Arcade Fire on SNL, now up to devote a few lines to direct The Shins. The band of James Mercer went to the set of the NBC to present at first 'Simple Song' and 'It's Only Life, "two of the issues that appear within that" Port Of Morrow "which goes on sale on 16 in March. To have both performances so you just have to play the "embeds" that attach to the same input.

I must admit that these two do not direct me excited. The first sin of leaving some laps (Richard Swift seems to be going hand in excess) and the second, despite being better than the previous frankly, sounds a bit cold. Even so I've been licking from the time of Rockzone Meya Jordi told me that "Port Of Morrow" was a great record. If you put a 85 out of 100 should be about something, Meya is rarely wrong in these types of concessions in the form of reviews. What looking forward to it on 16!

Crossing between Mastodon and Feist versions of face to Record Store Day

We all think the world of music no boundaries but the reality is very different. Among the artists there is no wall or any wall that leads them to avoid collaboration. A good example is found in the split with the metalheads Mastodon prepared by the beloved folk artist Leslie Feist. This curious release, due out on Record Store Day (April 21) as a limited edition disc 7 "will feature the version of 'A Commotion" of the "Metals" by Mastodon, and of' Black Tongue 'recorded by Canadian singer.

This news, which was anticipated a few months ago, is not the only one that is related to Mastodon facing the Record Store Day. Reviewing Pitchfork we learned that the creators of "The Hunter" and "Blood Mountain" will also release another 7 "which will include the original song" A Spoonful Weighs a Ton 'Flaming Lips and a version by the band Troy Sanders and Brent Hinders.

Get mad at the thought and will cover Leslie Feist performing 'Black Tongue'. How do I mount the artist to version a strong and vibrant topic like this?

Rise Against + Architects + Touché Amoré in Berlin (Berlin Arena, March 3, 2012)

The cold became more present in Berlin as dusk and in the vicinity of Berlin Arena already hundreds of fans were present from Chicago. Surprised as a parent, accompanied by four children, their children, who probably did not exceed twelve years old, asked where he was disoriented concert hall. A young tattooed guided them. The contrast and the wide range of fans of Rise Against was present.

Taking a dark road that led to a huge abandoned factory, passing right by the bus tour of the band led by Tim McIllrath, viewers were flowing into a huge room (capacity 7500 people) to be opened before the public. The bars, including a cocktail-were full, and so was the store merchandising, and little by little was breathing the air with thousands of people waiting to start.

Touché Amoré kicked out with a hardcore convincing, compact, with a string section led by Fender Telecasters that roared to the beat of a very reliable battery screamo accompanied by singer Jeremy Bolm. After a pause too long, the concert was delayed for the start of the second opening act: The Architects. The British probably had his best night, at least in terms of sound. The battery, with a drum too strong, overlapped to the subtraction of instruments, sometimes even the voice of the band-and even reached saturation with constant and very rapid blows. In counterpoint, vocalist, very charismatic, he encouraged an audience already delivered and let the spirits too high for the headliner.

About 22:20 pm, Rise Against came on stage with almost 7000 people in front of them.

Survivor Guilt was the theme that opened the concert, preceded by a short introductory video that was projected on screens LED. Reels, continued with Ready To Fall and briefly presented Collapse (Post-Amerika) to continue with a single of 2007, The Good Left Undone. After touching at least one subject of his last three albums, and totally devoted audience jumping to the beat of the music, Tim McIlrath gave way to a theme of his latest album underground, Broken English. With hardly a pause, mosh pits were springing up around the room while, with a spectacular stage presence, Help is on the way, Disparity by Design, or Drones took shape and the German public were sung as if it were your last concert those of Chicago.

The drummer Brandon Barnes, with good sound and good performance, marked the beginning of one of the best-known Americans: Re-Education (Through Labor), bringing the concert to a very high level, a level that Blood to Bleed, Satellite and Paper Wings took care to maintain. A couple in their fifties, turned their heads and danced like crazy hectic following the concert. With little rest, the punk band marked the end of the first phase of a spectacular concert performance of another of his best known songs: Prayer of the Refugee, extended version.

With a rapt audience, Rise Against took a break for a few minutes and then returned to the stage McIlrath with his acoustic guitar. More relaxed but no less epic, acoustic version played in Audience of One and Swing Life Away known as the audience Germanic brandish their lighters waving in the air and chanted in unison.

With all the new members on stage, performed the final concert before the encore, with Make It Stop (September's Children) and a powerful Give It All that left the audience wanting more German.

And Americans do not want anyone to leave with that feeling. With even more power-if possible-Midnight Hands and The Strength to Go On as caged beasts went through their instruments and, after the singer agradeciera the public to be their "savior", Rise Against performing Savior took leave, with a single howling by guitarist Zach Blair. Between jumps, joy and applause, the band disappeared from the stage.

Walk in the Danish soil

A pleasant, cheerful Stroll in the cemetery with a rock band and spirits company, so the expected style of music the band "Darkness Falls" on. What sounds incompatible understands the copenhagen duo with melancholic melodies and imploring vocals, but at the same time implement with biting Sxities-twang guitars with great attention to detail. This direction, they remain on their album "Alive in Us" faithful.
They kidnap the listening to the stark, Scandinavian coastlines, where they lure him into the marshy soil of the harmonies. Too gloomy mood in the Darkness Falls will not be. Amid all the beautiful melancholy, there is also quite concentrated positive energy.
This mix of classic and sensual songs Sxties-Gitarrensonds thrilled the audience to ever new. Even with her first album "Alive in Us", the singer and keyboardist, guitarist and bassist Josephine Philip and Ina Lindgreen end of October 2011 presented, she astonished the music world. Thus, the band named also recently by the music magazine "Intro" to the "New Bands for 2012" with the Begründing: "The dramatic pop of Darkness Falls plays with references to post-punk, neo disco and rock-rock without it but it right to let off the leash. This property is also found in her producer Trentemøller, who together with his own productions also thinks indie and techno. (INTRO, new bands for 2012)
And we can not live to experience the serene sounds of a lead in Munich, on Tuesday, 13 March at the Atomic Café! And who knows, maybe one or two sound rips off but still not developed and expected dimensions.
