Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten
After being born in Ankara, Turkey, and travel around the world, with just twenty years John Mellor made his living as a gravedigger in the UK somewhere. With the strength just to dig the graves, the work lasted until he was caught taking a nap on one of the graves. The fate of the protagonist of this story, which occurred before he was baptized as Joe Strummer car, just might be the punk-rock icon.
The documentary "Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten", directed by Julien Temple (author of numerous works, including the Sex Pistols documentary "The Filth and the Fury") is a journey through the life of the charismatic leader of The Clash . Start announcing his death on the radio (resource for later use in documentaries such as "When You're Strange," about the legendary The Doors), to then tell their story from the beginning.
Son of a diplomat, Strummer spent his early years traveling from country to country, to go to stop a boarding school in England. After finishing school, he moved to Wales to study art. Although his career as a student failed, it served to establish a deeper relationship with music: The Vultures was born and his first group. However, this first experience did not last long, and moved to London, where he became acquainted with the movement and founded The 101e'rs Okupa, his first successful band. During this time when he meets one of the key people for the creation of The Clash, Bernie Rhodes, because it was he who contacted the other members of the band.
The narrative is constructed from Joe Strummer's own statements, mostly off, and different people who passed through his life (friends, girlfriends, co-group ...) as well as various personalities from culture, as Martin Scorsese, Johnny Depp, Steve Buscemi, Bono or Flea.
Premiered at Sundance in 2007, "The Future Is Unwritten" took the prize for Best Documentary at the British Independent Film Awards and shows us a multifaceted Joe Strummer: the attentive friend, concerned that all who were his around her feel comfortable, loving father, and the hard rocker who does not voice trembles when without any members of your group the benefit of the band, in short, a complex person. As he said, "I do not know what I want, if I did not bother looking for it."
"Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten" is a commendable portrait of one of the leading figures of contemporary rock (which complements the Spanish documentary made in 2011 "I have a hardware store in Andalusia", over the years that Strummer spent in South of the Peninsula) but in my opinion, has a basic flaw: throughout the whole film is not a single sign indicating the name of the person being interviewed, sometimes making it difficult to identify. Still, do not miss it.

Colors of Life Birgit Moser
One of the photos of the exhibition "Colors of Life" - Photo: Birgit MoserYour insightful snapshots of landscapes and still lifes are an expression of the particular and the strangeness. On the structure of the Chinese theory of five elements Birgit Moser approaches to the essence of this world. In a deciduous forest emerging growth, the fineness of the first young shoots and creativity is visible - wood. In the blazing fire dwells dynamics and intuition. Earth represents strength and physicality, for energy and endurance. In a snow-white landscape, shows structured information and order of the metal. The gentle waves of water convey deep emotion, devotion and awareness. In this sense, each of the five elements and therefore each country, each still life, combined with human qualities. The photographer Birgit Moser in her paintings can be one of the five elements and provides a glimpse into the eternal, which unites the world.
Birgit Moser studied in Germany, Canada and Great Britain. She explored Europe, Mexico and Nepal, always in search of deep, visual experience. From 2001 to 2003 she worked in Korea and used her free time to travel and photography. She moved across Asia, with a focus on Japan, China, Vietnam and Mongolia. She now lives in Munich.
Come and visit the photo exhibition "Colors of Life" in the period from 01.08. until 19.09.2012 in the MVHS Neuhauser transformer in Munich.

The most fun camps Roskilde Festival
A total of four were the years he enjoyed festivals in Denmark. Skanderborg, Bork Havn, Sonderborg, ... the truth is that I was in a pile and everyone has a good atmosphere that makes them special, different from the rest of Europe. When you look back I keep a very special memory of Roskilde Festival, a festival that takes place every year between the first and second week of July in the southwest of the Scandinavian country. The poster acojonante always (in fact in 2007 playing Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Bjork and a thousand more) and the festive atmosphere is scary. What most struck me was the amount of thematic camps had. From trolls to characters from Lord of the Rings, police gay to George Michael, football players ... There was everything! With this little post attempt to pay tribute to some of the most fun camps in recent years the festival. Curves coming Hold on ...
Camp Find Wally:
What could be more surreal than a legion of Wallys, and a warlock purple, jumping up and down with a Coldplay concert? Almost nothing!. Interestingly that's what happened in 2009, the year that the camp Where's Wally won the "Camp of the Year" awarded annually by the jury of the Roskilde Festival organization.
Everything was based solely on finding Wally. And many are still those who remember their way through the festival that year. They were everywhere! Seeing Oasis, Nick Cave, Pete Doherty ... The horny character of the striped shirts did not miss one.
Camp Star Wars:
The great rivals in 2009 of Where's Wally Camp was the camp of Star Wars. This "camp" is exactly what you imagine: a group of fans of the Star Wars where there from Boba Fett to a Han Solo, a master Yoda, Darth Vader, various stormtroopers ... Well, this was a haven for nerds Danes. If you do not believe me take a look at this video ... go tribe!
Roskilde Open Camp
Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe would orgullosísimos of Roskilde Open, a camp where the 18 component members pose with costumes that refer to tennis players of the 70's classic. One of the data that most caught my attention is the fact that these guys to design a sound system that was nourished by the energy generated by a variety of solar panels. You do not see every day ...
Camp Hasselhoff
A true classic in any Danish festival. Site I've ever been, a place where there was a camp focused on the series The Baywatch. The "dresscode" is more than obvious, jackets, swimsuits red sunglasses and white poles. Another thing is that members of these camps get digest alcohol in the same way that the friend David Hasselhoff.
Here's an example of Camp Hasselhoff Roskilde Festival 2008:
Oldies Camp
12 years ago Norwegians knew German and 2 to 3 Sweden. Together they created a great camp focused on paying tribute to the older audience of such festivals. In the video clip you attach sounds 'Ace Of Spades' by Motorhead, probably the best song that could bring one of the "camps" emblematic of the previous edition of Roskilde Festival.
Camp Brokeback
In "Brokeback Mountain" Ennis lost to Jack, but this did not mean that the legend of Ang Lee's film was to be seen in 2005. A group of Danish, with all the "good" intention of profiting from dress jeans to tie, decided to launch a festival called "Camp Brokeback." So far have emerged as one of the most well known camping festival, and such is their level of extroversion that have lived so geeks situations like the one seen below:
Camp Brides:
And finally we present the Brides Camp, a camp formed only by women in which all but one (which is disguised as a priest), they dressed in bridal gowns. His mission in the festival is simple: find the ideal husband and marry reached a grand celebration that takes place every year in this curious camp.

Christina Aguilera wore to her ex as a sex toy
The Puerto Rican dancer Jorge Santos, Christina Aguilera who dated between 2000 and 2002, now confessed that it was he who broke the relationship. That he felt that the singer was only interested in him as their sex toy and nothing more.
Santos said he was only 18 at the time, and chose to end the relationship because he did not want to be known only as 'the boyfriend of Christina Aguilera'.
The dancer appeared in his video Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You), and admitted the singer suffered a few years ago much to the relationship.
In an interview to Star magazine, Jorge Santos said that the artist does not even want him working, he wanted all the time he was there for her. "I did not accept," he recalls.

»Nirvana - Nevermind" as "full album cover" of 13 artists
Free and very gecovert: »Nirvana - Nevermind" as "full album cover" of 13 artists.
Nirvana - Nevermind (at amazon.de) on 24 September 1991, ie almost 20 years ago, they released the album Nevermind by Nirvana. One need not be a fan of the band or grunge to understand that this is an epic album in rock history, which was the initial impetus for the success of many other bands and this, though not for the first and last time, the corrupt and soft-boiled rock music scene of the then recently ended 1980. Various Artists - Newermind; cover artwork (c) Spin Magazine 2011Auch still refer a lot of indie rock musicians on this "Nirvana" effect.
As a tribute to Nevermind now, the U.S. music magazine Spin Magazine has invited an artist, chose to cover all the tracks on the album. The result is called "Newerkind" (SIC!!), Has a pronounced stupid artwork (see right) and contains some nasty, sometimes surprisingly successful contributions of Butch Walker & the Black Widows (note the Yes-quote in the guitar solo "in Bloom "), The Vaselines, Amanda Palmer, Foxy Shazam (very cool!) and a bunch of hip indie artists I know, of course, hardly. But I'm too old and not hip and does not need to know all the linnets.
To download the album for free, one must merely the infamous "Like" on the Facebook page by clicking SPIN and request the download with a valid email address. Who has no Facebook account, which has until 25 July wait, then there are the tracks of the album on this page → as direct downloads.

American Hardcore tracing the history of hardcore in the U.S.
If you are someone who believe that the 80 were only pads, hair combed, glitter, disco, battery plates and dozens of boxes with lots of reverb ... You're slow to see American Hardcore. The documentary, directed by Paul Rachman, has the appearance of hardcore punk in the United States through first-person experience of the principal architects of the emergence of this movement in the early 80's.
In the late 70's the Sex Pistols were succeeding in the UK with lewd and iconoclastic attitude. However, in the United States, punk took a more serious and committed side. "Sid was a junkie vicious nihilistic. And we do not. "So of course puts Ian MacKaye, founder of the legendary band Minor Threat, during an interview for the documentary. So, punk became even more raw and began to "call it hardcore because it was hard, like pornography," according to Bobby Steele of the Misfits. They were young and hated their parents, their jobs and the police or any form of authority. They did not fit with the society of the time or feel represented by politicians. The result of this discontent, more like an escape than a serious attempt to succeed in the music industry, born bands like Black Flag, Circle Jerks and Bad Brains.
Through interviews with Henry Rollins (Black Flag), Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat), Keith Morris (Circle Jerks / Black Flag) and many other members of the scene, and through the use of archival footage, the documentary traces a map of the U.S. hardcore culture, from its appearance in a particular focus to its expansion throughout the country, including a raid on the Straight Edge movement, closely related to hardcore. American Hardcore is to make a radio graph of the birth of a musical style linked to a way of life and what some consider its decline when the violence took too central a role in a very aggressive movement in and of itself. "I did not leave the hardcore. The hardcore left me "Ian MacKaye judgment.
A story worth knowing and sometimes hard to believe, as Henry Rollins himself acknowledges: "It's as if someone was exaggerating when I tell the story. No, never seen anything like this. "

Scott Simon: Coming Home
From shadowy sounds capes and darkjazzigen smoke Simon Scott created on his second album "Bunny" mysterious Surrealitäten. The English sound designer creates here a series of bizarre and stunning mood that spread slowly in dark, lynchischen sound spaces.
The recently published "Below Sea Level" is abstract, however, reduced and lighter failed, so forming a harmonious counterpoint to its predecessor. Based on field recordings from the lying below sea level, East Anglian region, The Fens, the pieces drifting weightlessly through lush layers of synthetic and natural sounds, distortions, additions.
"Below Sea Level" was published in May 2012 with 12k on CD (12K1071). "Bunny" was published in October 2011 by Miasmah (MIA017) on CD and vinyl. Both albums can be listened to on the websites of the label in its entirety.

New album by Future Of Forestry for ... within a week!
The vast majority of groups tend to announce the release of their album months in advance. Others, however, advertise their releases in a matter of weeks ... or days! This is the case of Trent Dabbs, who has released a few days ago "Future Like Snow" and the Future Of Forestry, a large group worship from Binaural and a few hours ago via Facebook has announced it will launch a new album "Young Man Follow" imminently. In fact only needed one week to come out since it was announced that on July 10 is the day that will go on sale this unexpected LP.
I do not know if you remember but in late 2011 I highly recommend listening to "A Film & TV Collection" which compiled some of the (last) Top Future Of Forestry. With "Follow Young Man" opens an entirely new ban will be a turning point in the career of these undervalued musicians exception. The entire route taken through various EPS, and culminated in the launch of 2011, now require an LP to change the game, showing a new tone in the melodic atmosphere engendered by the mind of Eric Owyoung, the only mastermind there is behind this project (the rest are musicians who merely seconded and which vary with time).
All I ask is that in this new work is a topic like 'Slow Down Your Breath "or" Set Your Sails'. With that, only with that, and I am content.

Super heavy metal band in the Theatre Factory
Adrenaline is Mike Portnoy of mob demonstrating in the Theatre Factory in Munich his virtuoso skills on the drums
On 06/07/2012 can be seen in the theater a true virtuoso on drums factory, because the former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy is with his new project Adrenaline Mob as a guest in Munich. If you like the band founded in 2010 in New York a true supergroup of heavy metal or hard rock. Singer Russell Allen - Symphony X's fans know her - and Portnoy had met eleven years ago for the first time and then spoken to by a joint project. Of 2010, Allen and his guitarist Mike Orlando his second solo album. During the recording played his own songs in front of Orlando Allen and the two decided to form a band. When they heard that Portnoy was released after he left Dream Theater, they spoke to him. Meanwhile, the bassist John Moyer completed (Disturbed), the quartet.
Adrenaline can be musically mob somewhere between AC / DC and Aerosmith. After his first show in 2011 published the first four, self-titled EP, which was made recently, the debut album "Omerta". Portnoy - he is one of the best drummers in the world by far - stressed in interviews that the music of his new band clearly from Dream Theater or Symphony X also differs, and that one had nothing to do with their progressive metal. The music of adrenaline mob was "forward continuous metal".Russell Allen will rock the mob of adrenaline in the Theater Factory in Munich
In fact, if you look at songs like the single "Undaunted" or "Hit The Wall" sounds about - you can with fat riffs and immense good Hevaygroove going forward. In between, though sometimes the pace is reduced, but overall, the men with a rock energy, as if they were still mid-twenties.
Come and visit the Adrenaline Mob concert on 06.07.2012 in the theater factory in Munich.
